Dear Kate,
I refer to your request of 25 March 2022 for official information held by
the University. The University’s response follows.
“In regards to the Discipline Committee hearing scheduled for Wednesday
23rd March, we wish to know the outcome of this hearing. If this hearing
did not go ahead, we wish to know the reasons for this and when the
hearing has been rescheduled to.”
The case originally scheduled to be heard by the Discipline Committee on
Wednesday 23 March was postponed following an application for postponement
on behalf of the respondent, to allow the respondent to receive legal
advice prior to the hearing. The University’s Discipline Committee has
since met and determined the case. The matter is now at an end.
The other information requested is withheld under section 9(2)(a), to
protect the privacy of natural persons.
You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with this response.
