Please provide the following information for each of the years of 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020:

a) The mean weighted average (used to determine eligibility for the New Zealand Law Review Prize) of recipients of the New Zealand Law Review Prize in the given year.

b) The lowest weighted average (used to determine eligibility for the New Zealand Law Review Prize) of the New Zealand Law Review Prize in the given year.

c) The highest weighted average (used to determine eligibility for the New Zealand Law Review Prize) of the New Zealand Law Review Prize in the given year.

If this information cannot be provided as requested above for the privacy reasons of recipients, please aggregate the data over the years requested and provide a mean and range over the years for requests (a) to (c). Such a mean and range would not risk disclosing sensitive data of individual recipients due to the number of years for which information has been requested.

I refer to your request of 1 March 2022. Due to the low number of New
Zealand Law Review Prize recipients each year, the specific information
requested in (a)-(c) of your request cannot be provided on privacy
grounds. We have provided the statistics requested for 2015-2017 and
2018-2020, rather than for each year individually, to protect the privacy
of the recipients.

 

Statistics for University of Auckland New Zealand Law Review Prize
recipients

 

 1. Mean weighted average for 2015-2017: 86.73
 2. Mean weighted average for 2018-2020: 87.3
 3. Lowest weighted average for 2015-2017: 85.10
 4. Lowest weighted average for 2018-2020: 85.50
 5. Highest weighted average for 2015-2017: 89.92
 6. Highest weighted average for 2018-2020: 89.23
