Dear New Zealand Police,

I am writing to request the Traffic Crash Report, and any associated photos, for the crash involving a Police vehicle and a member of the public in Hamilton on 07/04/2021.

I'll note, this was previously requested under an OIA and denied due to being under investigation and assigned to a senior officer and under Section 6(c) - "to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial"

Granted this has been approximately 9-10 months since this accident occurred, it would be reasonable to assume the investigation process has been completed. Would you also be able to include the investigation outcome with the TCR and photos?

I can confirm I am a New Zealand Citizen and currently reside in New Zealand.

I refer to your request for information made under the Official
Information Act 1982

I am writing to request the Traffic Crash Report, and any associated

I have considered your request under the OIA 1982, and have attached a
copy of the Traffic Accident Report and associated photos of the scene.  
Please note that minor redaction's have been made to the Traffic Crash
Report pursuant to S.9(2)(a) of the OIA 1982 - Protect the privacy of
natural persons.
Please consider this request now closed.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are
not satisfied with Police’s response to your request.
