Kia ora Scott,

I am following up on my colleague Sophia’s email below in relation to your
Official Information Act request that was received on 31 January 2022
as outlined below.

The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.

We apologise for not being able to respond with this information sooner
and unfortunately, it is not possible to meet this time limit. For this
reason, we are therefore writing to advise of an extension of time to 15
March 2022, allowing us sufficient time to make our decision. In saying
that, please be rest assured we will endeavour to respond to aspects of,
or all of your request before this date, if possible.

This extension is necessary because the request involves a large quantity
of information that requires consultation with internal and external
subject matter areas.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman
of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available
at [1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you wish to discuss any
aspect of your request with us, including this decision, please feel free
to get in touch with me.

Ngâ mihi
