Year One Review of the Algorithm Charter

Scott made this Official Information request to Statistics New Zealand

The request was successful.

From: Scott

Dear Statistics New Zealand,

I would like to make a request for information relating to the StatsNZ Algorithm Charter.

At the time of the Charter’s publication in July 2020 it was stated that a “scope review” was scheduled to be conducted 12 months later:

“The Charter for Aotearoa New Zealand is an evolving piece of work that needs to respond to emerging technologies and also be fit-for-purpose for government agencies. After twelve months a review of the Algorithm Charter will be conducted, to ensure it is achieving its intended purpose of improving government transparency and accountability without stifling innovation or causing undue compliance burden.”

The quoted passage can be viewed here:

https://www.data.govt.nz/assets/data-eth...

If this review has been completed I would like to request a copy.

Yours faithfully,

Scott
