Dear Mr Reed,

I refer to your requests of 11 and 13 January 2022 for information
concerning funding for University of Auckland clubs and societies under
the Official Information Act (OIA). The University’s response follows:

Could the following information please be provided under the Official
Information Act:

(1) The total amount of funding provided to student clubs or societies in
2021.”

(2) A breakdown of (1), consisting of the amount of funding received by
each University of Auckland student club or society that was successful or
partially successful in any major or minor grants application in 2021

(3) The amount of funding requested by each University of Auckland student
club or society for the 2021 academic year, split by type of funding

(4) The percentage of requested funding that was approved for each
University of Auckland student club or society for the 2021 academic year,
split by type of funding request (i.e., major grant - round 1, major grant

The University can provide the total amount of funding provided to student
clubs and societies in 2021, and a breakdown as follows: for each student
club/society, the total amount of funding requested in 2021, and the total
amount of funding provided in 2021. However, the University cannot break
