From: John Creser
Dear Ministry of Justice,
Please advise: "What is the legislation or policy relied upon by the Department of Courts when deciding not to disclose applications made to the courts by holders of domestic protection orders?
This request arises from advice given by Joel McChesney, a
Court Registry Officer at the Court of Appeal in respect of CA223/2014. On 17 June 2014 Mr McChesney advised that an application to the court from the respondent to be excused from the above matter had not been disclosed to all parties to proceedings because the respondent was the holder of a domestic protection order.
Yours faithfully,
John Creser
