An “internal review” of the COVID-19 Testing Technical Advisory Group is referred to (p.9). I would like to request a copy of this review.

I would also like to request copies of all advice provided to the Director General of Health on the topic of the future direction of COVID-19 Testing Technical Advisory Group, dated since the beginning of February.

Finally, if the COVID-19 Testing Technical Advisory Group and COVID-19 Therapeutics Technical Advisory Group Terms of Reference have been updated since August 2021, I would like to request copies of the current versions.

Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) on 19 July 2022 for meeting minutes and memos from the COVID-19
Testing Technical Advisory Group (COVID-19 Testing TAG) and the COVID-19
Therapeutics Technical Advisory Group (COVID-19 Therapeutics TAG).

Pursuant to section 15(1)(a) of the Act, Manatū Hauora (the Ministry of
Health) is writing to advise you that a decision has been made on your
request; however, it will take us some time to prepare the information for
release.  

As it stands, 12 documents have been identified in scope of your request.
This includes meeting minutes for both the COVID-19 Testing TAG and the
COVID-19 Therapeutics TAG as well as the Internal Review of COVID-19
Testing TAG. The withholding grounds for these documents are currently
being considered, which includes section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the
privacy of natural persons. 

Please see the following responses for parts of your request: 

2. All memos or reports they have produced dated since 28 March 2022. 

COVID-19 Testing TAG have no memos in scope for the dates specified in
your request. Therefore, this part of your request is refused under
section 18(e) of the Act as the information requested does not exist.  

All memos for COVID-19 Therapeutics TAG are publicly available and can be
found here:

Finally, if the COVID-19 Testing Technical Advisory Group and COVID-19
Therapeutics Technical Advisory Group Terms of Reference have been
updated since August 2021, I would like to request copies of the current
versions. 

The COVID-19 Testing TAG and COVID-19 Therapeutics TAG have not been
updated since August 2021 and therefore this part of your request is
refused under section 18(e) of the Act as the information requested does
not exist.  

Manatū Hauora will send you information for the remainder of your request
by 30 August 2022. 

Under section 28(3) of the Act,  you have the right to ask the Ombudsman
to review any decisions made under this request. The Ombudsman may be
