Domestic COVID-19 vaccination certificates
Harold made this Official Information request to Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
The request was refused by Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
From: Harold
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
This is a request for documents relating to DPMC’s programme for the introduction of COVID-19 vaccine certificates for domestic use. An earlier OIA request on this topic yielded a DPMC scoping report dated 9 April:
https://fyi.org.nz/request/15162/respons...
I take it from recent media reporting that DPMC’s work in this space has advanced since then, and I would therefore like to request:
1) Copies of all briefings to Cabinet or any minister that deal with the topic of COVID-19 vaccine certificates for domestic use, dated since 9 April.
2) Copies of all other reports generated by DPMC that deal with the topic of COVID-19 vaccine certificates for domestic use, dated since 9 April.
Yours faithfully,
Harold

Dear Harold
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, which
was partially transferred from the Department of the Prime Minister and
Cabinet to the Minister for COVID-19 Response on 27 September 2021. You
requested:
“ 1) Copies of all briefings to Cabinet or any minister that deal with the
topic of COVID-19 vaccine certificates for domestic use, dated since 9
April. ”
I have decided under section 15A of the Act to extend the time limit for
deciding on your request by an additional 20 working days. Consequently,
the new date a response to your request is due will be 23 November 2021.
The extension is required because of the consultations needed to make a
decision on your request. Despite the extension, a response will be sent
to you as soon as possible.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my
decision under section 28(3) of the Act.
I appreciate that the initial response to this request was due on Tuesday
26 October 2021. I apologise for the delay in getting the response to you.
