Dear Kelvin Davis,
I would like a kanohi kite kanohi meeting with you concerning my son Nicholas
He was murdered in Waikeria prison in 2011
I need closure
I'm sad that you haven't responded to me since 2014 was my first written request
I have asked you on several occasions prior to writing this
I've requested on several occasions for the footage to no avail
Ignoring me doesn't help resolve the facts
I have 378 breaches of duty of care
He was on remand from Friday 7 January 2011 and dead on 9 January 2011
I m hoping you can arrange a meeting

On behalf of the Minister of Corrections, Hon Kelvin Davis, thank you for
your email received on 12 September 2021; you requested to meet with the
Minister to discuss the death of your son, Nicholas Harris.
 
Unfortunately, the Minister cannot personally intervene in operational
matters, including discussing the management individual prisoners.
Therefore, your correspondence has been referred to the National Office of
the Department of Corrections for investigation and response.
