With reference to the following article about Data Ventures working with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for producing statistics on the publics movement during Covid lockdown by tracking mobile phone data.

A bit of googling suggests Data Ventures is being provided the data from Spark and Vodafone as;
"We get device counts, hourly and to suburb level. We can't see any identifiable features - where they've come from, where they're going to, you just see a count at a point in time."
