Safe treatment of Covid-19 with Ivermectin

Zee Monsalve made this Official Information request to Chris Hipkins

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Chris Hipkins should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Zee Monsalve

Dear Chris Hipkins,

Has the Government investigated using Ivermectin to prevent and/or treat Covid-19 in New Zealand, and if not, why not, as it is a widely available, generic, cost-effective and non-intrusive medication that is proven to be extremely successful in both preventing and treating Covid-19, and surely this is safer than injecting the Kiwi people with Pfizer BioNTech's experimental Cominarty "vaccine", the long-term effects of which are completely unknown?

Yours faithfully,

Zee Monsalve.

The "long term effects" of ivermectin (a deworming drug) are completely known:
"The FDA has not reviewed data to support use of ivermectin in COVID-19 patients to treat or to prevent COVID-19; however, some initial research is underway. Taking a drug for an unapproved use can be very dangerous. This is true of ivermectin, too.

There’s a lot of misinformation around, and you may have heard that it’s okay to take large doses of ivermectin. That is wrong.

Even the levels of ivermectin for approved uses can interact with other medications, like blood-thinners. You can also overdose on ivermectin, which can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension (low blood pressure), allergic reactions (itching and hives), dizziness, ataxia (problems with balance), seizures, coma and even death. Thanks for your input, Mr Rodgers. I'm well aware of the FDA's position, and I beg to differ. There are now a number of randomized double-blind, peer-reviewed trials which show that the use of Ivermectin treatment for Covid-19 showed that "Statistically significant improvements are seen for mortality, hospitalization, recovery, cases and viral clearance. The consistency of positive results across a wide variety of heterogenous studies is remarkable, with 92% of the 63 studies reporting positive effects (27 statistically significant in isolation)". - Covid Analysis, August 16 2022, version 110 https://www.ivmmeta.com

Have asked for up to date information from the Ministry of Health.

FYI have already censored 2 of these requests saying "either not a valid request, or doesn't meet our moderation rules"

Here is the 3rd attempt -
