Dear National Provident Fund,

May I kindly request the full meeting minute of this Board from 1st Jan 2020 to now. Also, May I kindly request the pay rate of each members (how much they bee paid per day or is it a hourly rate?) and any other expense reimbursements that each member received since 1st Jan 2020.

Also, to ensure transparency, I would like to encourage the Board to consider published their full meeting minutes on their website for public to review.

We refer to your official information request dated 22 August 2021 for meeting minutes of the National Provident Fund Board from 1 January 2020 to now as well as information about their pay and reimbursements.

The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request. On this occasion, unfortunately your request was inadvertently directed to our spam folder and was not brought to our attention until 8 October 2021 after we received an enquiry from the Office of the Ombudsman. This means that it was not be possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 22 October 2021.

This extension is necessary because we did not become aware of your request until 8 October 2021 and we require a reasonable amount of time to consider your request.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
