This OIA request concerns the following vaccine-preventable diseases:
Diphtheria
Haemophilus influenzae type b
Hepatitis B
Human papillomavirus
Influenza
Measels
Mumps
Pertussis
Pneumococcal
Polio
Rotavirus
Rubella
Tetanus
Varicella
Zoster
For each of these diseases, please provide the generally accepted global mortality rate, from WHO or other data held by the Ministry.
For each of these diseases, please also provide the following information held by the Ministry for 2018 or the latest available pre-Covid calendar year:
The number of cases in New Zealand
The number of hospitalisations in New Zealand
The number of deaths in New Zealand
The percentage of people in New Zealand immunised
It may be easiest to provide this data in table form.

“Could the Ministry of Health please confirm it holds the data I seek to
populate the attached table? Could it please populate it? (I am
suggesting 2018 data, but the latest available pre-Covid year for which
public data is available would suffice.) Alternatively, could the Ministry
please point to data tables on the internet that they would
consider authoritative that will have all the information I seek.”
