Marc Smith made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Marc Smith to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Marc Smith

Dear Ministry of Justice,

I am aware that the Ministry of Justice recently released statistics on crime against Maori:

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politic...

Could I please make an OIA request for the following information:

1) The number of criminal offences committed against Maori in the 2020 calendar year (if 2020 is not available: 2019, please), broken down by the ethnicity of the offender (New Zealand European, Maori, Pacific, Asian, other).

2) Alternatively, if 1) is not available: The number of Maori victims of criminal offences in the 2020 calendar year (if 2020 is not available: 2019, please), broken down by the ethnicity of the offender (New Zealand European, Maori, Pacific, Asian, other).

If the information under 1) and/or 2) is publicly available, could I please be provided with a weblink.

Kind regards
