Dear S Rasool,

 

On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I
acknowledge your email of 12^th April 2021 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

‘please confirm the number of NZ citizens as well as the number of NZ
non-citizens, i.e. on any type of visa of the forefront Security Staff and
Service Workers hired for all MIQ facilities, full-time, part-time and/or
casuals. This does not need to include Doctors, Nurses, Defence Forces &
Police, as they are public service member and not 'for hire' service
members.’

provided by you; Private Security Providers (contracted by the Ministry)
297 (How many are citizens and on any type of visa) The Aviation Security
Service (AvSec) 77 (How many are citizens and on any type of visa) Also,
please confirm when were these numbers recorded ? You mentioned 24 hour
period, but which period or month? Also, have the number of Private
Security Providers contracted by Ministry & AvSec stafff crossed beyond
these provided numbers between March 2020 till date?’
