From: Harry Tothill

Dear Ms Cooke

I refer to your letter dated 14 February 2022, notifying me of an extension of the timeframe to respond to my OIA request.

This issue has been the subject of considerable media scrutiny, which has included public comment by the Head of MIQ Operations. In making public comment on this matter, one would reasonably expect MBIE to have gathered the information I requested in my OIA request already. If not, then given the ongoing media attention to the issue, MBIE must surely be gathering this information as a priority.

I have made a complaint to the Ombudsman, requesting a review of your decision, under section 28(3) of the Act. Meanwhile, I await your response to the request.

Yours sincerely

Harry Tothill
