On 12 April 2021, you emailed the Ministry of Social Development (the
Ministry) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act),
the following information:

 

o I am interested to look at the last 5 years of data for money given
out to people as "Accommodation Supplement" categorized by each year.
If possible I would love to see the same data separated out by main
cities such as Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Tauranga and
Hamilton as well.  

 

To gather the data that you have requested, the Ministry would go based
off the Territorial Local Authority (TLA) boundaries. Could you please
adivse if you would like any further TLA added into the request or are
happy receiving the five that you have advise. The TLA boundaries can be

Alternatively, the Ministry can  reporting on council boundaries. The
Minsitry will be able to provide the information for the 16 council
boundaries.

 

Please could you confirm whether you would be happy for your requests to
either include the TLA or council boundaries – Including any additioanl
cities you would like added, so we are able to provide the information you
are seeking.

 

If the Ministry does not receive a response by midday on 21 April 2021, we
will proceed with providing the inforamtion for the council boundaries.

 

Please note that once you have amended or clarified your request, under
section 15(1AA) of the Official Information Act, the Ministry may treat
your amended or clarified request as a new request that replaces the
original request. This may lead to a new start of the statutory response
period.
