Good morning.

As you may be aware, the time period for an agency to respond to an Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request, is twenty working days. In the calculation of due dates for responses to OIA requests, the New Zealand Defence Force follows the Ombudsman's due date calculator, which can be found on their website www.ombudsman.parliament.nz. This states that the due date for a response to a request received on 7 April 2021, is Thursday 6 May 2021, taking into account the observation of ANZAC day as a public holiday.

Please be assured that your request is currently being processed and we hope to have it back to you by the due date.
