Tçnâ koe Kendra Cox,

Thank you for your email received 22 March 2021, under the Official
Information Act 1982. Your request has been forwarded to the appropriate
officials at National Office to respond. You can expect a decision as soon
as reasonably practicable, and in any case not later than 20 working days
after the day on which the request was received.

The information you have requested will likely contain Ministry employee

and we will treat your request as amended accordingly.

In any event, the Ministry will make and communicate to you a decision on
your request as soon as reasonably practicable, and within the statutory
maximum time limits – including the extension of time limits (Section 15A
of the Act).

It's a shame MSD decided to print and then scan this document instead of releasing it in its original format.

Though they do appear to have at least run it through Optical Character Recognition software in an attempt to make it accessible again after they made it entirely inaccessible through this process, this process has not entirely worked.

For example, all of the links in their response letter seem to have been broken. I was going to type them all out by hand so I could put them in an annotation here, but there are 14 of them and they're all long enough to take up at least two lines in their response letter.

After I tagged MSD in a tweet about this accessibility issue, they emailed me the URLs from this response letter. Here is their email:

"Good afternoon Mark

Thank you for your tweet regarding the Official Information Act response, where the links provided did not work.

The Ministry apologises for any inconvenience that this might have had on you.

The Official Parliamentary Information team are working towards a fix for this issue and have put in place a workaround.
