Work done relating to Trikafta
A Mark made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
The request was successful.
From: A Mark
Kia ora Ministry of Health,
I would like copies of all briefings, advice, aides memoire, meeting notes or any other information regarding decisions made or to be made relating to the funding of Trikafta in New Zealand.
I would also like to know if the company that produces Trikafta, Vertex, has approached Pharmac to begin the process of approving Trikafta for New Zealanders with cystic fibrosis, and, if not, whether the Minister of Health has considered approaching Vertex to ask them to do so.
To assist in developing a response, my aim in making this request is to ascertain the Government's current position to Trikafta to understand if there is a timeline for the drug to become funded in New Zealand. Any further information available that is not currently captured by the wording of this request would be gratefully appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
A Mark
