Offensive and disturbing text messages, phone calls, from Principal Ministry Advisor Mental Health and Addictions

Katherine Raue made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request was refused by Ministry of Health.

From: Katherine Raue

Dear Ministry of Health,

Shortly after midnight on 12 March 2020 Te Ringa Mangu Mihaka and I received a series of offensive, disturbing and misleading phone calls and text messages from the mobile phone belonging to the Principal Ministry of Health Advisor Mental Health and Addictions, Waiatamai Tamehana.

This is clearly a work phone not a private phone, the number is listed in emails sent to us by Ms Tamehana.

The phone calls and text messages were in response to serious complaints we made to the Ministry regarding issues pertaining to Tui Taurua and the so called mental health peer support network known as Nga Hau E Wha, and a meeting in the Ministry offices with Ms Tamehana and another Ministry Advisor on 4 March 2020, eight days prior to the offensive communications from Ms Tamehana were received on 12 March 2020.

The content of the text messages in particular strongly indicates that the purpose of the communications received from the Ms Tamehana's phone on 12 March was to obstruct the course of justice in regard to the manner in which the Ministry addressed our original complaints regarding Tui Taurua and Nga Hau E Wha and the fraudulent funding applications which are evidenced by a letter from the CEO of Changing Minds, and the fraudulent misrepresentation evidenced by the letter from the Ministry regarding the Health Practitioners Competence Act to Tui Taurua, and the fraudulent misuse of the document we signed in the marae on 6 February 2018.

This OIA request is for all data and other information relating to the Ministry phone used by Waiatamai Tamehana [mobile number redacted by FYI] and the calls and text messages sent from that phone to the number of our phone (which the Ministry is well aware of, that phone is 021 04 818 **) on 12 March 2020. We request that the Ministry obtain that information from the telecom provider if necessary because it is required URGENTLY for a criminal prosecution and the Court has established that it is in the public interest.

This OIA request is for all information regarding the meeting at the Ministry of Health offices on or about 13 March 2020 with Aroha Metcalfe and another woman to discuss the offensive disturbing and misleading communications from Waiatamai Tamehana on 12 March 2020, and all information regarding the actions taken by the Ministry of Health in response to the complaints made at that meeting about the actions of Waiatamai Tamehana, as well as the response of the Ministry to our original complaint about the Ministry support of Nga Hau E Wha.

This includes the images of the text messages we received from Tamehana, which were photographed using another phone by Aroha Metcalfe and the other woman, the name of the other woman at that meeting, and all information about this second complaint about the manner in which Waiatamai Tamehana and Bernard Te Paa and the Ministry dealt with our original complaints about Tui Taurua, Jak Wild, Victoria Roberts, Bill Hamilton and Nga Hau E Wha.

Katherine Raue

Yours faithfully,

Katherine Raue

The Ministry was recently forced to admit that this phone number used to send the criminal communications was attached to official emails as an official contact number no less than eight hundred and fifty two times.

The phone was used to ring me up at midnight in a prolonged attempt to persuade me to withdraw my complaints to the Ministry of Health regarding fraud involving another delusional 'mental health advisor'.

I am prosecuting the Ministry of Health and the Ministry's Principal Advisor, Mental Health and Addictions on criminal charges.

The defendant's job was only established recently, and it seems it was attached to just about every email she ever sent. It's an official phone according to the Public Records Act. The Ministry have been joined to the prosecution and the charges upgraded. The response from the Ministry can be read at this link, and verified by the Ministry.
