Passenger Arrival Statistics by Airport for 2020

Dear New Zealand Customs Service,

Could I please request information on counts of aviation passenger arrivals per airport in New Zealand, and per corresponding overseas departure airport/city for the full year of 2020 (year ending December or closest available). This should include any departure airports at the beginning of multi-stop flights that arrive in New Zealand.

Counts at a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly resolution (whichever is the most detailed available) in an Excel/CSV data format is preferred.

If this is information you do not hold, can you direct me to the appropriate agency?

Thank you for that information. I note that while this information contains statistics of passenger arrivals by New Zealand port, it does not include statistics by origin airport. Are you able to please provide this?

Thank you for your email. Customs does not hold data for the origin airport, we only hold data for the last overseas port. Would you like monthly arrivals by last overseas port and also including the arrival port in New Zealand?
