Absolute waste of time this was - Worksafe advise that it did not meet their criteria for investigation but do not say why and do not even put their contact email in the response so I can follow up

It was the FYI website and not WorkSafe that hid their email address,

This did meet the criteria for worksafe notifiable event.
the person was admitted to Waikato Hospital's Acute Medical Unit
for two days to receive medical treatment from a Doctor or three and some Nurses. The person had suffered loss of bodily function, there was a decrease in vision by 50 % and the person could not walk straight or talk. So this was without a doubt a notifiable event
that worksafe chose not to look into.
