Dear Ministry of Health,
Can you please confirm whether there has been any testing of the waste water in New Zealand to establish the presence or other of the coronavirus leading to COVID 19, or any other associated diseases.
If affirmative please provide a summary or table of results which includes, the locations and results of such tests (positive or negative for the presence of coronavirus), the time and date of the first test per location, and most recent results, (positive or negative for coronavirus).

The Ministry of Health does not hold this information and intended on
transferring this request to the Institute of Environmental Science and
Research (ESR) under the Official Information Act 1982. However we have
been advised by ESR that you have made a duplicate request to them, as
such there is no need for a formal transfer. ESR will respond to your
request in due course and your request with the Ministry of Health is now
closed.
