On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I
acknowledge your email of 8 May 2020 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

“1. For the years 2018 and 2019, what overseas events have the Immigration
New Zealand Investor Attraction Team attended ? (Please include date,
party requesting attendance, location, function of INZ team member
attending, reason for approving request to attend, and who is responsible
for INZ costs)

 

2. Were any of these events conducted without attendance by a licensed
immigration adviser ? If yes please indicate the event details as per 1
above, and provide explanation of why this was accepted.

 

3. What is the criteria to determine if INZ staff will attend an event ?
Please advise any policy or guidelines

 

4. How can a request for INZ to attend an event be formally made ?”

 

Your request is being processed in accordance with the Act and a response
will be sent to you in due course.

 

Please note, due to ongoing COVID-19 response work, requests are currently
being triaged and those relating to Covid-19 processed as a priority.
Remaining requests are being assessed as per the Ombudsman’s guidance
