Covid-19 by;

(i) Ethnicity and (ii) age

Subject B - Cook Islander 87"

Your request for this information is refused under 9(2)(a) of the Act to
protect privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased natural
persons.

For you reference there have been media updates where they have provided
information on the age group of the deceased attached below:

Please note, the way confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 are being
reported on is to prevent identification of individual cases, particularly
in small towns and groups that involve family members. To maintain
uniformity nationwide, all cases are being reported on by District Health
Board and by clusters.

Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to
review any decisions made under this request.
