Dear IRD,
Thank you for your letter dated 6 May 2020.
Although numerous other public sector organisations who we have asked the same question to, have also noted that they do not ask for ethnicity and gender data in employment applications (or that it is self-identified), they were nonetheless able to provide us with the answers to the question that we asked regarding tier 2 appointments.
Please confirm whether you are also in a position to do so.
Yours sincerely,
Tania Te Whenua

Dear Ms Te Whenua
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately we are not in a position to provide an answer to your questions.
As stated in my letter of 6 May 2020, applicants have the option to disclose their ethnicity. I can confirm that we do not hold ethnicity information for our Tier 2 appointments within the scope of your request.
Yours sincerely
Gary Baird
Chief People Officer
