information:

 

1.       How many consumer representatives on the Bay of Plenty Health
Consumer Council were selected for membership on the council, as they had
a interest in mental health?  6 of the 12 members.

 

2.       How many consumer representatives he Bay of Plenty Health
Consumer Council were appointed to reflect the consumer voice in Mental
health and addictions?  Members of the BOP Health Consumer Council are not
appointed to reflect the consumer voice of any specific health group.

 

3.       How many consumer representatives on the Bay of Plenty Health
Consumer Council  identify as having "lived experience in mental health"? 
This question was not asked during the selection process, but 3 members
freely shared their lived experience during the selection process.

 

The selection criteria for members of the inaugural Bay of Plenty Health
Consumer included a number factors as illustrated in the table below:

                8 of the 12 members indicated an interest in Mental Health
and 5 in Alcohol and other drugs.
