Dear Toni

Request ID:        OIR-L20019

On further reviewing your request for information it has been determined
that more time than the statutory 20 work days will be required to gather
the information you requested. Therefore, under section 14(3) of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA), the South
Taranaki District Council wish to advise of an extension of the due date
to 22 April 2020 which is one fortnight from today, 8 April 2020.

The reason for the extension is that during the COVID-19 lockdown period
and a few weeks leading up to that, some of our key people who would
normally be involved in co-ordinating and collating your request
responses, have been responsible for areas relating to Civil Defence and
our Pandemic Response Team. As you can imagine, this is an unprecedented
situation and understandably we have been dealing with different
responsibilities as a result of this. I have been advised that the
information will be available to you within a fortnight, hence my email to
you today. Rest assured, we have commenced work on collating this
information however it is not as simple as it appears because of the two
different timeframes (223/224) and the multiple reports. We are still
working on how to pull some of these details out as reports.

We hope you can understand this unfortunate timing, and we hope that this
extension of time is acceptable to you. However, you do have the right,
under section 27(3) of the LGOIMA, to make a complaint to the Ombudsman
about the extension. The contact details and the complaints process are
available on [1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.

Please advise if you ok with the request due date being extended and
please accept my apologies for the unexpected delay of your request.

If you have any further queries please feel free to contact me.

Kind regards

Sonia
