- The percentage of Maori and Pacific people that have been convicted of firearms offences
from 2009 - 2019
- The percentage of people that were shot by Police from 2009 - 2019 in New Zealand and what percentage of these people were Maori or Pacific

Good afternoon Reina
Thank you for your Official Information Act request of February 23rd requesting information Maori and Pacific People. Specifically, you requested the following:
-1)The percentage of Maori and Pacific people that have been convicted of firearms offences from 2009 - 2019
-2)The percentage of people that were shot by Police from 2009 - 2019 in New Zealand and what percentage of these people were Maori or Pacific.
The following infomration you requested is not held by the Minsitry of Justice.

However, on February 27th I consulted the New Zealand Police and they advised they hold this information. I have therefore transferred this part of your request to the the New Zealand Police under section 14 of the OIA. You will hear from the AGENCY regarding your request in due course. You have the right under section 28(3) of the OIA to complain to the Ombudsman about the decision to transfer your request. The Ombudsman may be contacted by writing to PO Box 10-152, Wellington.
