Amy S Van Wey Lovatt (Account suspended) made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Amy S Van Wey Lovatt (Account suspended)
Dear Ministry of Health,
Please consider this submission as a new request, as I was told in the correspondence dated 3 February 2020, the Ministry of Health closed my request from 29 January 2020 without either providing the information or transferring my request.
Thus, pursuant to section 13 of the Official Information Act 1982, I respectfully request your assistance in helping me obtain the requested information outlined below. In the correspondence from the MoH dated 31 January 2020, I was told “The Ministry of Health does not hold the information you [I] have requested as the district health board (DHB) chairs are responsible for the DHB chief executive appointments (interim or permanent).”
Given that I am unable to find the contact information for the DHB chairs, this information was not provide in the response and the DHB chairs are appointed by the Minister, I request the MoH transfer my request to the Waikato DHB chairs or other appropriate body pursuant to section 14 of the Act.
Background:
According to the Waikato District Health Board Minutes from the Board Meting on 27 March 2019, the interim CE (or acting CE) was Mr D Wright. According to a Stuff article dated 24 April 2019, Mr Wright was the CE until 27 April 2019, and as of 27 April 2019, Mr Neville Hablous would be taking over as acting CE of Waikato DHB.
Request 1:
I respectfully request the dates between 01 March 2019 and 26 April 2019, in which Mr Hablous was acting CE of Waikato DHB.
Request 2:
Please provide the correspondence from the appropriate authority (e.g., Mr Wright or the Board/Commissioner) which designated Mr Hablous as acting CE of Waikato DHB for each of the dates he was acting CE between 01 March 2019 and 26 April 2019.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Kindest regards,
Amy S Van Wey Lovatt

Dear Ministry of Health,
This is just a friendly reminder that I still have not received the requested information, which I have asked for your assistance to obtain under s 13 of the Act. Has the Waikato DHB also refused your request?
Yours faithfully,
Amy S Van Wey Lovatt
