NZRP QUOTA 2020

Tammy made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment

Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment did not have the information requested.

From: Tammy

Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,

Please advise when will the new quota for Resident visas will be given out by NZRP.
Once the quota is announced will INZ start working on the backlog of 10000 plus applications that are yet to be allocated?

Is there any plan to process the on hand applications this year.

Yours faithfully,

Tammy

Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment

Hi Tammy,

Thank you for your query.

The Government is currently reviewing its approach to the NZRP, and is considering replacing the planning range with a more targeted approach that focuses on management of specific residence categories.

In the meantime, INZ continues to process on hand visa applications. Due to the high volume of applications and our need to manage risk, the Skilled Migrant and Residence from Work categories will continue to take time to process.

Regards,
