Please supply the following information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.

I would like to know who within the Dunedin City Council, initiated the move to allocate the (community reserve) at the intersection of George and Albany Street, to build a Memorial to Archibald Baxter etc. I would also like the names of all the Councilors' who endorsed this move.

Dear Mr Walker

 

I am responding to your email LGOIMA request received on 23 September
2019, requesting who within the Dunedin City Council initiated the move to
allocate (the community reserve) at the intersection of George and Albany
Street, to build a Memorial to Archibald Baxter.  You also sought the
names of all the Councillors’ who endorsed this move.

 

The Community and Environment Committee considered a report from the Parks
and Recreation Department at its meeting on 8 June 2016, in relation to
the establishment of the Archibald Baxter Memorial at the intersection of
Albany and George Streets.  A link to the report and minutes are below

A report was tabled at the Council Annual Plan Deliberations meeting held
on 27 May 2019, which included the recommendation of support to the
Archibald Baxter Memorial Trust Annual Plan submission, for in-kind
