Dear University of Otago,

Please provide the following information relating to the New Zealand Rural Origins sub-category of the bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) program at University of Otago for the most recent five years (2015-2019):

(1) Number of New Zealand Rural Origins sub-category seats available each year (under the graduate category only),
(2) Number of New Zealand Rural Origins sub-category applicants each year (under the graduate category only),
(3) Numbers of applicants who met the UMAT threshold each year (under the graduate category only).

With regards to Section 12 of the Official Information Act 1982, I am a New Zealand citizen and located in New Zealand.

Dear Ms Tasker,

 

I am writing in regard to your Official Information Act request dated 25
July 2019 regarding information on New Zealand Rural Origins sub-category
of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery programme at the University of Otago due
22 August 2019.  

 

I am notifying an extension under section 15A(1) of the Act due to the
time needed to complete consultation in the preparation of a response. I
am thus advising that the response will now be provided no later than
Wednesday 11 September 2019.  I have specified this timeframe to ensure
there is sufficient time to prepare the response; however, I anticipate
that I will be able to provide the data well in advance of this date.

 

I note your right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman about this extension
under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act.
