much the Mayor spent on overseas travel in each calendar month since
October 2010.The information you have requested is enclosed.

Ashburton District Council responds -

Travel overseas undertaken by mayors of Ashburton:

July 2018 (15-26 July)    Travel to China with costs met by the host
(Fineboon Ltd)

Mayor’s costs funded by Council related to visa $140.00 and insurance
$72.20

Attended the 10^th anniversary celebrations in Xianyang and the grand
opening of Fineboon Dairy Factory in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia.

November 2017 (15-23 November)         Travel to China with costs met by
the host (AITA Group)

Mayor’s costs funded by Council related to flights from CHC/AKL $364.00
and visa $140.00

Attended the Australia International Trade Association Chinese Enterprises
Outbound Investment Conference.

Visited Changsha, Xianning, Wuhan, Hubei and Beijing.

June 2010            Travel to China with proportion of costs met by the
Chinese Conference organisers and the balance met personally by the Mayor.

Attended the second international forum on Tourism (IMFT) in Zhengzhou,
China
