The information you have requested is contained in the Parliamentary
Salaries And Allowances Orders which covered members of Parliament
salaries until 1977 and from 1978 the Remuneration Authority’s (previously
known as the Higher Salaries Commission) annual Parliamentary Salaries and
Allowances Determinations.

Salaries and Allowance Determination or if before 1978 select

Please note:

·         no differentiation is made between the annual base salary of a
list MP and an electorate MP.

·         the Remuneration Authority (Members of Parliament Remuneration)
Amendment Act 2018 implemented the Government’s decision to freeze members
of Parliament salaries from 1 July 2018 until 30 June 2019 at the levels
determined in the Parliamentary Salaries and Allowances Determination
2017.  Accordingly no determination was issued for the 2018/19 year.
