In response to your voicemail today, the time for responding to Official
Information Act requests is a maximum of 20 working days from receipt, as
set down by the Office of the Ombudsman:

 

‘Working day’ means any day of the week other than:

o Saturday and Sunday;

o national public holidays (Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday,
Anzac Day, Queen’s Birthday, Labour Day); and
o the period from 25 December to 15 January inclusive.

A regional anniversary is a working day.

 

As your request was received on 10 May, your response will be due on 10
June.
