Golden Triangle Electrification Detailed Business Case aka GTEP DBC
Bob made this Official Information request to KiwiRail
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Bob to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Bob
Dear KiwiRail,
I am a member of the public requesting the detailed business case conducted by KiwiRail "to identify the best pathway to decarbonise the KiwiRail freight lines between Auckland and Tauranga through transitioning from diesel to electric locomotives over the next two decades", as part of the Golden Triangle Electrification Project, also known as the GTEP for short.
I am fully aware that this request may not be able to be fulfilled if work is still underway to prepare the document for release.
Yours faithfully,
Bob

Good evening Mr. Allard
Thank you for replying to my OIA request during this extremely busy time of the year. However, the documents found on the North Island Decarbonisation Study page on the KiwiRail website are only the IBC (indicative business case) and its peer review report, not the detailed business case that I referred to in my initial message. According to a document (link given below) that was presented to the Waikato Regional Council in September of this year, this detailed business case is set to be completed by the end of 2025. Am I able to attain a copy of this document for release, or is it still under internal review?

Bob
