I write today on behalf of Hon Chris Penk referring to your official
information request dated 8 October 2025, copied here for ease:

 

I have seen Chris on several occasions on television, wearing multiple
medals on his chest.

 

1.       Could you please confirm the names of the medals he has been
awarded?

 

2.       Additionally, could you advise who covers the cost of mounting
these medals?

 

3.       Has government incurred any expenses related to the maintenance
or display of his medals, including miniature versions?

 

It’s been identified that an extension is required to allow for
consultations necessary to make a decision on this request. As such, in
accordance with section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, we have decided to extend
the deadline to your request by 3 working days and is now due on
Wednesday, 12 November 2025. With that said, we will endeavour to provide
a response to you sooner than the stated date.

 

You have the right under section 28(3) of the Act to file a complaint with
the Ombudsman regarding this extension. We very much appreciate your
consideration.
