Currently waiting for a response from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).
From: Mohammed Khan
Dear Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,
I am aware that MFAT states that it has no official records on how many NZ citizens are taking part in the Gaza genocide as part of the so-called 'Israeli Defense Forces'.
I am requesting that you, as of 24 October 2025, please provide a COUNT of Destination records in the SafeTravel system that match each of the following criteria, which are typical of those participating in war crimes against the native Palestinian human population:
1) Country: 'Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories' AND Departure Date - Arrival Date > 400 days
2) Country: 'Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories' AND (any 'location' or 'address' field contains (including lower/upper/mixed case): 'lone soldier' OR any 'location' or 'address' field contains (including lower/upper/mixed case): 'hayal boded' OR any 'location' or 'address' field matches a SQL LIKE comparison (including accounting for lower/upper/mixed case by using UPPER functions if a case sensitive collation is used): '%18%Yehuda%Ha%Yamai%' (where % is the wildcard character, as it is in standard SQL))
4) Country: 'Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories' AND any 'location' or 'address' field contains (including lower/upper/mixed case): 'bayit brigade'
5) Country: 'Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories' AND (any 'location' or 'address' field contains (including lower/upper/mixed case): 'beit hachayal' OR any 'location' or 'address' field matches a SQL LIKE comparison (including accounting for lower/upper/mixed case by using UPPER functions if a case sensitive collation is used): '%soldier%hostel%' (where % is the wildcard character, as it is in standard SQL))
6) Country: 'Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories' AND any 'location' or 'address' field matches a SQL LIKE comparison (including accounting for lower/upper/mixed case by using UPPER functions if a case sensitive collation is used): '%sar%el%' (where % is the wildcard character, as it is in standard SQL)
A different COUNT summary for each of the six different criteria, thanks.
If this is considered 'too difficult' or 'too specialized' or any of the criteria appear unclear, then you should be able to quickly provide me with a dump of the database schema for the relevant table/s, and I can write the queries for you to make this process as efficient as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Mohammed Khan
