Teenage suicide prevention advice to Ministries and Ministers
Josh Martin made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
The request was successful.
From: Josh Martin
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
This is a request made under the Official Information Act
Please provide advice (whether written or email communication) from your Ministry (particularly the Ministry of Youth Development which you administer)
between January 2009 to present on the prevention of youth suicide. Specifically, I would like to obtain recent advice to the Minister for Social Development, Minister of Education and Minister of Health (and their respective ministries) on the success of suicide prevention strategies. I also seek communications to these parties on plans, improvements and proposed policy which could lower the teen suicide rate in New Zealand.
Thank you,
Yours faithfully,
Josh Martin

This request was sent on September 12th, it should therefore be responded to well before the October 20th date they list. It seems as if the request has been bounced around the Ministry, however this is not the fault of the requester and simply shows a lack of organization. I'd suggest responding to indicate the correct response date.
