"Prime Minister's Hour" complaint
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Electoral Commission
The request was successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Electoral Commission,
On 30 September 2011, RadioLive broadcast a segment called "the Prime Minister's Hour", featuring John Key. The segment was ruled by the Electoal Commission to be an unlawful election broadcast, and on 9 February 2012 was referred to police. On 30 march 2012, the Police indicated that they would not be laying any charges due to "insufficient evidence" ("Police decision on RadioLive broadcast", Scoop, 30 march 2012). I would like to request the following information under the Official Information Act 1982:
* A copy of all material forwarded to police regarding this complaint.
* Any subsequent correspondence or communication with the Police regarding this complaint.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
