Dear Ministry of Education,

Last night Campbell Live carried a piece on the Ministry of Education's handling of OIA requests relating to the closure of schools in Christchurch. This included evidence that the Ministry had suggested that Christchurch City Council lie about whether it held information in order to thwart a request.

I would like to request the following information under the OIA:

* Any communications or policy from within the Ministry specifically relating to handling requests for information relating to the closure of schools in Christchurch;
* Any comunications with the Minister's office relating to the handling of such requests.

Note that "communications" includes emails, records of phone calls, and information in the heads of Ministry staff.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
