Government Departments that own their buildings
Brendon Mills made this Official Information request to Public Service Commission
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Public Service Commission should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Brendon Mills
Dear State Services Commission,
Could please advise which government departments and crown entities still own office space/buildings, as opposed to leasing them.
Yours faithfully,
Brendon Mills
Public Service Commission
Hi Brendon,
Thank you for your email to the State Services Commission dated 14
November, in which you submitted the below Official Information Request:
"Could you please advise which government departments and crown entities

The information to which this request relates is more closely connected
with the functions of the Government Property Management Centre of
Expertise at the Ministry of Social Development.
I am therefore transferring the request to the Government Property
Management Centre of Expertise in reliance on section 14(b)(ii) of the
Official Information Act.
Yours sincerely,
Jesse Farmar

The request would likely have been transferred on the same as the date the the SSC responded to you (18 November 2012). Add about 1-2 two days for leeway and any physical transfer of paperwork. The last date for a decision to be sent to you was 18 Dec 2012.
I think you should contact the Privacy and Official Information Team at the Ministry of Social Development (on the assumption that OIA's are managed centrally within MSD by this Team) to confirm:
- that they have received your request,
- are working on it,
- and by when you may expect a decision.
If you are unhappy with their response, then at that point, you would make a complaint to the Ombudsman (being aware that it can take considerable time for the complaint to be actioned). The MSD's email address is: information@msd.govt.nz
Alternatively the Property Management's details are at:

Things to do with this request
- Add an annotation (to help the requester or others)
- Download a zip file of all correspondence
