Conflict of Interests Register
Joshua Grainger made this Official Information request to Hamilton City Council
The request was refused by Hamilton City Council.
From: Joshua Grainger
Dear Hamilton City Council,
According to this news story (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/articl...) the Hamilton City Council has a conflict of interests register for its city councillors, but it is not available for public scrutiny. I would like to request a copy of that register under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.
Feel free to contact me if you want me to clarify my response. I look forward to receiving your response by the legal deadline of the 11th of May, according to the Ombudsmen's Calcuator: http://www.ombudsmen.parliament.nz/index....
Yours faithfully,
Joshua Grainger

the grounds set out in subsection (2)a which allows for non-closure in
order to protect the privacy of persons.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of this decision by
the Ombudsman. The address for the Office of the Ombudsmen is P O Box

Dear Anthony,
Thank you for replying to my request. Although it wasn't the result I was looking for (and I shall be writing to the Ombudsmen to appeal) I think it was the fastest response to an LGOIMA/OIA request I've ever had, and Hamilton City Council should be congratulated for that.
Yours sincerely,
Joshua Grainger
