Information about location tracking devices used for personnel

Hugh Davenport made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

The request was successful.

From: Hugh Davenport

Dear New Zealand Police,

A follow up of https://fyi.org.nz/request/9291-informat....

I would to know whether any location tracking devices (such as GPS) are in use for Police personnel. If such devices exist, I would like to know how long the data stored on them is retained for. I would also like to know which personnel they would be in use for (ie, front line staff only, or all sworn officers, or all employees).

Yours faithfully,

Hugh Davenport
