OIA Tahr Culling Correspondence Request
Angus Borrell made this Official Information request to Eugenie Sage
The request was partially successful.
From: Angus Borrell
Dear Eugenie Sage,
Minister of Conservation
I am writing to request all correspondence between the Minister of Conservation, Eugenie Sage and Department of Conservation to do with Tahr Culling since Eugenie became minister.
I am hoping to identify the person who is responsible for breaching the trust of public land users who are dependent on the tahr resource for either commerce of recreational use.
Regards
Angus Borrell

Kia ora Mr Borrell,
I refer to your Official Information Act request of 11 October regarding
tahr control (copied below).
This email is to advise you that the 20 working day period to respond to
your request is being extended, as allowed under section 15A(1) of the
Official Information Act 1982. You will receive a response no later than
16 November, earlier if possible.
The extension of time is necessary as it requires a search through a large
quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would
unreasonably interfere with the operations of the Office. In addition, the
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request mean that a
proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.
You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act to
make a complaint to an Ombudsman about the extension.
Ngā mihi
