Dear WorkSafe New Zealand,
I would like to request under the Official Information Act, how many employees (casual, fixed term, full time, part time, permanent, contractors and any other kind) have resigned from WorkSafe New Zealand in the past 24 months. I would like this broken down into business units please.
Additionally, I would like to know how many employees have been employed (not including contractors) without HR doing reference checks, interviews, and/or psychometric testing in the past 24 months. I would like this broken down by business unit and for each individual (not to be named) I would like to know which of the above recruitment measures weren't taken for them.

Further, can you please confirm that you do not have any way of telling or have any record of, if there was a psychometric test, if there was an interview, or if there was a reference check?

Thank you for your further email regarding appointments and resignations of staff within WorkSafe New Zealand.
We provided a breakdown of resignations by business unit in our previous response. We are happy to provide you with the percentage but would just like to clarify whether you mean the overall percentage or the percentage by business unit.
In our previous response we advised that information about interviews, reference checks and psychometric testing is not centrally recorded by WorkSafe's People and Culture team. The information is held by the relevant manager responsible for the recruitment process. We can consider searching for the information via the relevant manager(s) if you are interested in a specific business group and timeframe. However, we would be likely to decline a request for details regarding reference checks, interviews and psychometric testing for all staff employed in the past 24 months under section 18(f) of the OIA on the basis that it would require substantial collation and research.

Thank you for getting back to me. I would like the percentage by business unit please.
I was hoping that your HR team would be able to search through something like MAKO employee files or a recruitment system like Springboard to see if this was completed for employees as most other organisations have a recruitment team that tracks this basic information via that software. Can you confirm that HR does not use these and is not able to pull this information?
