Decision: Your request has been granted, see attachment.

Further comments:

1. Security incident is defined as ‘an incident that involves unlawful interference’ in Civil Aviation Rule (CAR) 12.3 Definitions of Part 12 Accidents, Incidents, and Statistics (https://www.caa.govt.nz/assets/legacy/ru...).

2. Unlawful interference is defined as ‘ an act or attempted act endangering a passenger, crew member, ground personnel, aircraft, or facility, in CAR 1.1 General Definitions of Part 1 Definitions and Abbreviations
(https://www.caa.govt.nz/assets/legacy/ru...).

3. Advisory Circular AC12-1 provides information and guidance on security incidents, please see page 17 ( https://www.caa.govt.nz/assets/legacy/Ad...).

4. The severity ratings assigned to an individual incident are those attributed to it by the person responsible for submitting the report to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and they are not necessary reflective of the CAA’s position on the level of severity involved.

5. It is relevant to note, the reported incidents did not involve any with specific criminal intent on the part of those involved and the actions did not endangered the travelling public, crew members, ground personnel, etc.
